What/Who is NOVA Juniors?
NOVA Juniors is a youth volleyball club which dates back to the late 1970s originally started by volleyball coaching legend Bob MacFarland and Tom Smith. Starting as a men's team (consisting of Doug Sherer and Jim Park to name a couple), NOVA became NOVA Juniors when they became the first OVR team that was made of junior girls. They went on to win the AAU National Championship in 1981. For many years NOVA was ahead of the times when it came to club volleyball.
